How Can We Help?
Searching Email Messages
To search for specific email messages, begin by selecting the desired folder from the list of Mailbox folders on the left. Then, input your search term into the search box above the message list and press the <Enter> key on your keyboard to initiate the search. The search results will be displayed in the message list.
If you wish to reset the search, you can click on the Reset search icon located on the right side of the search box. Additionally, switching to another folder will automatically reset the search and clear the search box.
Customizing Search Criteria
To customize the search criteria, click on the search icon on the left side of the search box to open the search options menu. From there, you can choose which parts of the message to search for the entered term. Selecting Entire message will search all parts of the message.
Furthermore, you have the option to directly input specific search criteria into the search box, such as ”from:Scott” or ”subject:Conference.” The supported criteria keywords include ”from:”, “to:”, “cc:”, “bcc:”, “subject:” and “body:”.
Determining the Search Scope
The search options menu also includes the Scope selector, which controls whether the search is limited to the currently selected folders, including subfolders, or expands to include all folders. If a search query is already active, modifying the scope in this menu will immediately execute the search again and update the results in the message list.
Applying Message List Filters
The drop-down menu adjacent to the search box provides predefined filters to quickly narrow down the listed messages based on their status or priority.
These filter rules work in conjunction with the search term entered in the search box. For instance, you can choose to only display unanswered messages from Paul by selecting the Unanswered filter and entering ”from:Paul” in the search box.
Please note that the message filters are influenced by the Scope selected in the search options menu. Adjust the scope if you intend to expand the active filter to include matching messages from all folders.
